Step into the home and mind of an extraordinary artist—this estate sale offers a rare opportunity to acquire artwork and artifacts from the personal collection of the late George S. Rennie III, a visionary painter, sculptor, and contributor to Connecticut's cultural legacy.🎨 About the Artist:
George S. Rennie III was a multifaceted artist and sculptor based in Hamden, Connecticut, Born in Chester, Pennsylvania, Rennie earned a degree in geology from Dickinson College and continued graduate studies in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Ultimately, his passion for art and natural history led him to the Yale Peabody Museum of Natural History in New Haven, where he helped create major exhibits—sculpting everything from dinosaur bones to the museum’s iconic giant squid.Beyond museum work, Rennie was a prolific, self-employed artist. He began his career painting traditional icons for Orthodox and Byzantine Catholic churches, later expanding into photorealistic acrylics on canvaswood carvings, and hand-crafted decoys. His legacy lives on in museum exhibits, sacred art, and now, in this unique estate sale.🖼 What You’ll Find:
